However, this seemingly modest increase in battery capacity may still have a significant impact due to two key factors: Apple’s adoption of a 3nm fabrication process for the A17 chip and the introduction of stacked battery technology across the entire iPhone 15 range. This shift is expected to enhance the chip’s efficiency and potentially extend battery life by up to 20%. Stacked batteries, commonly used in aerospace, aviation, and electric car industries, offer improved efficiency, lower temperatures, and greater longevity.

While a larger battery is always appreciated, the real game-changer here lies in the technological advancements Apple is incorporating.
